Moving from 1.4.x to 2.0

Moving data and settings from ABPro 1.4.x to 2.0

ABPro 1.4.x to ABPro 2.0 (Joomla 1.5)

Install ABPro 2.0 on your Joomla 1.5 site - ABPro 2.0 uses different tables and files than 1.4.x so they can co-exist in the same Joomla instance.

ABPro 2.0 (J1.5) has an Import from 1.4.x button on the backup/restore screen. This import changes tables as required for ABPro 2.0 (adding new fields, removing some and changing most primary key names)

ABPro 1.4.x to ABPro 2.0 (Joomla 2.5)

ABPro 1.4.x cannot be installed on Joomla 2.5 so moving from 1.4.x to 2.0 under Joomla 2.5 is a two step process.

Step 1

Install ABPro 2.0 for Joomla 1.5 and migrate you settings as described above.

Step 2

Install ABPro 2.0 for Joomla 2.5 on your Joomla 2.5 site.

Use phpMyAdmin (or some other MySQL database tool) to:

- export your ABPro 2 tables from Joomla 1.5

- import the exported data into Joomla 2.5
